Position: Food Shelf Coordinator
Job Summary: Responsible for coordination of the onsite food shelf program including volunteers, shopper services, and cleanliness. Will ensure compliance with food safety standards and program requirements.
Classification: PT 15- 20 hours per week
Tuesday: 9am - 2:30 pm
Thursday: 12pm- 6:15 pm
Friday: 9am- 12pm
Reports to: Executive Director and Associate Director

Responsible for coordination of the food shelf program at Falls Hunger Coalition
- Provide excellent shopper service in a clean, safe and supportive environment
- Supervise and coordinate intake process, data collection, statistics reporting and shopper information
- Maintain compliance with TEFAP requirements
- Supervise NAPS/ CSFP distribution in the food shelf and ensure compliance with regulations
- Oversee the management and tracking of incoming donations
- Driving the Falls Hunger van to pick up and deliver food around Koochiching County
- Manage conflicts, questions and client/ volunteer interaction in courteous, professional and friendly manner
- Participate in staff meetings
- Use input from food shelf shoppers, volunteers and staff to strive for best practices and continuous improvement

- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting , walking and standing for long periods
- Driving is an essential part of this position and applicants must have valid Minnesota Driver's License and a 5 year clean driving record.
- Tasks mixed between seated office work, moving in food shelf, stocking shelves and driving the FHC cargo van
- Moderate computer work with repetitive finger movement
- Lifting or moving up to 40 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder, grasping, pulling, bending, and repetitive movement
- Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging information and instructions by means of the spoken word
- Hearing is required perceive information at normal spoken word levels, and to receive detailed information through oral communication
- Vision ability is required for office tasks
- Work will be mostly indoors but occasionally outdoors and subject to extreme temperatures, rain, and snow
- Moderate exposure to loud noise levels
